Art Museum & Taco Festival

My brother had a paper to write for his art class, so I took him to the art museum Saturday morning for some inspiration. I wasn't expecting much since I'm not an avid museum go-er, but it turned out to be more interesting and fun than I thought! There were a few interactive pieces like the photos above, making your own campagne badges and dressing up the politicians!

Melt by Walter Robinson

The Corporate Kiss by Llyn Foulkes

My favorite exhibition was the Renegade Humor, but probably only because they were easier to relate and interpret since I was familiar with a lot of the elements in the artworks. I loved the pieces in the Melt sculpture I wanted to take them home so badly!

Then we headed off to the local Taco Festival, a food truck event and an amazing opportunity to try all sorts of creative fusion creations in one place! We tried the Korean BBQ from the Kalbi Truck and it wasn't any good... However, the Sexy Fries and the Desi Tacos from the Curry Up Now truck was pretty yummy! We also loved the baos from the Chairman Bao truck!

Lastly, to top off our day we stopped by the Japanese market to take a look at Mochi Cream and pick up some more little snacks like the onigiri and the Japanese plum drink!

Weekend in San Francisco

Helping out CW with their filming of a local commercial, HAHA!

People watching at Dolores Park

Post-run photo of Lydia & her friend Mable!

I had intended to run the US Half-Marathon this weekend but because of my unexpected appendectomy I had to find someone else who was willing to run it for me and thankfully Lydia's friend Mable was down to take my place! However, I ended up driving us to San Francisco for the run and had an amazing time!

We also got to try two of the many things SF is famous for, Ike's Place sandwiches and ice-cream from Bi-Rite after waiting in a long line!

The Kryptonite sandwich from Ike's Place!

A scoop of Honey Lavender and Earl Grey from Bi-Rite, yummm!

Outfit of the Day: Electric Blue Suede

Cardigan: GAP | Tee: GAP | Skirt: Max Studio | Shoes: Steve Madden | Accessories: Pandora, Marc by Marc Jacobs, American Eagle | Bag: Balenciaga

Some of my favorite tees are from GAP; especially the Pima Cotton tees are the softest, every time I see them bring it back for the Spring I never forget to stock up in different colors! I picked up these beautiful Steve Madden pumps at TJ Max for only $40! Can you believe that? Thanks to Jackie, I'm a believe of bargain shopping again, it just takes time!

The Devil's Double

My brother recommended this movie for me a few months back while it was still playing in select theaters but I had forgotten about it until last Monday when I came across this at Blockbuster. I wanted to have a movie night with my friend Marissa, you know just painting nails and eating ice-cream, but we both couldn't resist a scandalous, controversy-provoking, inspired by true story, type of movie so we decided to rent this.

I really liked this movie even though it's pretty exaggerated for the sake of our viewing pleasure. It makes you realize people live such drastically different lives and how money and power can be taken to another level in abuse. Not to mention, Dominic Cooper does such an AMAZING JOB in this movie, if you like intense movies, this is the one for you!

If you get the chance, you should definitely go check it out at your nearest Blockbuster because it's not on Netflix yet.

Outfit of the Day: Ombre Blouse & Black Lace Shorts

Trench: GAP | Blouse: Zara | Shorts: Zara | Wedges: Forever 21 | Accessories: Pandora, Givenchy

I love the the ombre or the "dip-dyed" look for this blouse but it creases way to easy for my liking, I like my clothes low maintenance but I really couldn't resist; I even like the little gold pyramid detailing on the shoulder and the cuffs!

Since the weather forecast has been so wrong lately, I've been loving the unexpected sunshine.
