My brother had a paper to write for his art class, so I took him to the art museum Saturday morning for some inspiration. I wasn't expecting much since I'm not an avid museum go-er, but it turned out to be more interesting and fun than I thought! There were a few interactive pieces like the photos above, making your own campagne badges and dressing up the politicians!
Melt by Walter Robinson
The Corporate Kiss by Llyn Foulkes
My favorite exhibition was the Renegade Humor, but probably only because they were easier to relate and interpret since I was familiar with a lot of the elements in the artworks. I loved the pieces in the Melt sculpture I wanted to take them home so badly!
Then we headed off to the local Taco Festival, a food truck event and an amazing opportunity to try all sorts of creative fusion creations in one place! We tried the Korean BBQ from the Kalbi Truck and it wasn't any good... However, the Sexy Fries and the Desi Tacos from the Curry Up Now truck was pretty yummy! We also loved the baos from the Chairman Bao truck!
Lastly, to top off our day we stopped by the Japanese market to take a look at Mochi Cream and pick up some more little snacks like the onigiri and the Japanese plum drink!
