I haven't posted one of these in a while and when I came across this quote recently from FourFeetNine, it made so much sense to me: there are no ugly women, only lazy ones.
Now, don't get me wrong I don't mean all women who don't wear make up are lazy. I think this quote is referring to the amount of time you dedicate to taking care of yourself. It doesn't necessarily mean putting on make up or going to a salon for a make-over, but it can be something as simple as taking a shower on a regular basis, brushing your hair, or just taking care of your natural skin!
Many women, including myself and all of my girl friends, often complain or nit-pick at the flaws or imperfections we have. I think this is normal for many women actually, but when it becomes a constant obsession, it begins to reflect your laziness. Every woman possesses the potential to become better and more beautiful. If you're not happy with something, there's always a way to fix it without expensive products and surgery.
Often times, I complain about my weight or the size of my face but this quote totally put that into perspective. My boyfriend actually said once "if you're really unhappy about it, then do something to fix it." But of course knowing me, one of the laziest people I know, haven't had the motivation to get myself up and running at the gym. However, I plan to tackle my laziness this year head on because obviously it's not getting me anywhere.
I just wanted to express that no one is truly, physically ugly; because with a little effort here and there you can transform yourself into the person you're more comfortable with and even proud of. A real confident woman embraces her flaws and imperfections and flaunts (without being cocky) her accomplishments of being beautiful & healthy to inspire other women to lead a better, enjoyable, and most importantly a well balanced & healthy lifestyle.
This is what I strive to be.
